Are You Having A Hard Time Designing For A Baby Shower Party? It Can Be Challenging Locating Solid Festive Decorations
My sister and I planned a baby shower for one of our nieces. We made the decision to have it in the fellowship part of the community church because it was a large guest list. We had the shower on a Saturday afternoon. We did not want to get too detailed with the baby shower decorations because we needed to have the complete area cleaned out instantly after the party. We did want to have just a few decorations for baby shower to give the room a celebratory air. There's a bassinet that's passed to every new mother for the baby to sleep in for the first four to six weeks. This bassinet was my mother's. We determined that we would use the cradle as the heart of our baby shower decorations.
The fellowship area has large round tables that seat ten folks. We moved one table off on its own to be the gift table. We covered this table with a smooth pink table-cloth; our niece has learned she is having a girl. We set the bassinet in the middle of the table. We decided to use our presents for the baby shower party decorations. I had purchased a pink and white baby blanket, which we draped over the side of the cradle. We pinned some rattles and other infant toys to the blanket using diaper pins. We then displayed the little outfits that my sister had purchased. We finished the baby shower decorations for the gift table by placing a big teddy bear into the cradle. It's so much fun to decorating for a baby shower!
For the buffet table we had an arrangement of fresh-cut flowers from the local florist. She used soft pink carnations, baby's breathe and daisies for the arrangement. We determined that no other baby shower party festive decorations needed to be placed on this table. We did have pink napkins that we set on this table, along with a cake that was ornamented with a stork holding a small doll in a pink frosting blanket.
We had also ordered a corsage for our niece and one for every of the new grandmas to be. We felt that the room looked very good and we wouldn't have to spend a decent deal of time cleaning up baby shower party decorations because they would all be sent home as gifts to our niece.
We had a great turn out for the baby shower party. My niece got quite a few very nice gifts. She was glad that we had the shower in a space that was not cramped. As she progresses with the pregnancy she is feeling more claustrophobic. Within 30 moments after the shower was over the fellowship area was cleaned up and we were going home.
